Registered Psychologist
Co-Director, Willow Group
(She/Her)
I became a psychologist because I LOVE kids and teenagers. To me, they are endlessly wise, funny, and full of insight. I have always loved the process of connecting with them and asking questions – hopefully the right questions – to really get to know their stories. I like to think that when children meet with me, they feel how much I love to be with them -- I truly delight in my clients every single day.
I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I have almost 30 years of experience working with children, teenagers, and the people who raise them.
I grew up in Kitchener-Waterloo and did my undergraduate degree and Master’s degree at the University of Waterloo. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Guelph in Clinical Psychology so that I could become a Registered Clinical Psychologist. As part of my training, I moved to Calgary to work at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and remained at the hospital to work for 12 years. I worked in a number of areas, serving families and children with mood and anxiety disorders/OCD, severe mental health challenges, and neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, Tourette’s Disorder).
I moved back to Waterloo to be closer to family and I have been working in the community in private practice since 2013. I participate in many workshops and trainings as part of my ongoing commitment to professional development.
