Child and Adolescent Therapy
When our children are struggling, it can feel completely overwhelming. It is often hard to know if what we are doing is right or “enough”. It is scary to trust our parenting instincts when struggles are big: should I be pushing them, or should I be the soft place to land? Can we do this alone, or do we need help?
Whether someone suggested that your child would benefit from therapy, your child has asked to speak to someone, or your parenting instincts tell you that they need some additional support, we are here for you.
If you are looking for therapy for your child or teenager, our team members will listen kindly, with warmth and empathy, and help them discover their resources within. We know you are their strongest ally, biggest cheerleader, and the person most invested in them. As part of this journey, we will support you to guide them on their way.
We will help your child or teen develop skills and strategies to cope with big feelings, sadness, and anxiety, or even manage more specific challenges like OCD, tics, or processing a traumatic event. We will work on ways to talk about hard things, so they can better understand and express themselves. With this knowledge, you will be able to offer them appropriate support and guidance. Together we will build resilience, discover solutions, and boost confidence.
Individual Therapy
You might be seeking therapy right now because things are really hard. Perhaps you are going through a difficult time in your life and you need someone else to share the load. Many people we work with feel “stuck”, sad, or anxious and they don’t really know why. Others have experienced a major life transition (e.g. loss) and want some specific support to cope with their feelings.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or dealing with something really tough – we will meet you where you are. You might be looking for helpful strategies or solutions to a particular problem (such as anxiety, depression, or trauma) or you might want to deepen your understanding of yourself. Together, we can look for unhelpful patterns in your life and identify what might be contributing to the thoughts and feelings that have brought you our way.
If you are not sure what you need, we can work with you to help you decide what feels right for you. We will listen without judgement, ask thought-provoking questions, and offer experienced insight. Together we will work to identify what you need and want and help you get to where you want to be.
Couple and Family Therapy
If you are looking to increase connection in your family or you’re looking to better understand your relationship with your partner, we can help. While it is typical for families or couples to experience periods of disconnection or conflict, it can leave you feeling lonely or isolated.
We can help you identify and change unhelpful patterns and help you reconnect with the people you love. We can also help you understand the deeper reasons why this might be happening so that you can build new ways of working and moving forward together.
Sometimes couples or families are adjusting to big changes, and we can support you with this too. If you aren’t sure what you need but are looking for some support and direction, talk to us! We will guide the way.
